Athens High School FFA members (pictured l-r) Eddie Cleto, Yahir Medina, Luis Pina, Antony Rondan, and Diego Madera earned Overall Best Team Showmanship in the Ag Mechanics division at the Henderson County Livestock Show. The award recognizes a team’s ability to demonstrate expert knowledge of their project, from initial design to final presentation. The students constructed a 14-foot welding trailer, building nearly every component themselves — including toolboxes and workbenches — with the exception of the installed equipment. Judges evaluated their ability to explain the entire build process, interpret AutoCAD drawings, follow safety procedures using chemical safety documentation and present the trailer as a market-ready product. Their teamwork and thorough understanding of the project earned them top honors.
