Athens High School

Athens High School junior Isaac Hoch secures victory at the UIL 4A Region 2 competition held at Texas A&M Commerce, claiming the regional championship in Informative Speaking! Isaac, one half of AHS's state champion CX debate team, advances to the UIL State Speech Meet, scheduled for May 13-15 at the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, junior Cooper Rich and freshman Liam Tinsley were selected to join the UIL State Tournament Honor Crew, a group of students who assist the UIL office in running the state tournament. It's a great day to be a Hornet!
