We're celebrating our September superlatives! Superintendent Dr. Janie Sims (fourth from left) recently hosted for lunch the district's teachers and employee of the month.
The teachers of the month are (from left) Sandy Howard, fourth-grade math and science teacher at Bel Air Elementary; Sandy Carter, first-grade teacher at Central Athens Elementary; Angie Davis, fifth-grade English language arts and social studies teacher at South Athens Elementary; Chelsea Brown, seventh-grade science teacher at Athens Middle School; Edward Medvecky, English, yearbook and journalism teacher at Athens High School; and Devon Bowie, eleventh-grade college and career transition teacher in the Career & Technical Education (CTE) program, as well as a football and basketball coach at Athens High School. The Operations Center employee of the month (far right) is electrician Dylan Latta.
