Athens ISD has implemented Canvas for grades K-12. Canvas is a learning management system that will contain the full curriculum content for all of Athens ISD. All students will use Canvas to access materials, interact with classmates and teachers, complete assignments, take assessments, and more!

How will Canvas be implemented?
Canvas will be used by Athens ISD teachers to organize all lessons, educational materials and resources used by students. Each student will automatically be enrolled in their teachers’ Canvas courses and each day’s lesson will be clearly labeled in the course under “Modules”.
How will students access Canvas?
Canvas is integrated with our Google SSO platform. Students will log in to their Google accounts, click on the 9 dots to access the list of Athens ISD Google apps, and locate the app that says Canvas. Students will then be automatically signed in
Do parents need a Canvas account?
Yes!! Parents can use Canvas to see student assignments, view feedback from teachers, and stay up-to-date on what their student is learning in the classroom! Below are a few helpful videos:
