The Mission of the Child Nutrition Department is to provide nutritious and appealing food choices to children as a means of improving and enhancing their ability to learn in a safe and nurturing environment.

Athens ISD has qualified for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). All enrolled students will receive free breakfast and lunch!

Please read below in the CEP section to learn more about the program.

Click the appropriate campus below for menu information. All menus are subject to change.

Additional meals, entrees, and smart snacks are available for purchase during meal services.

  • Additional Breakfast Meal: $1.50

  • Additional Elementary Lunch Meal: $2.60

  • Additional Secondary Lunch Meal: $2.85

  • Adult Breakfast Meal: $3.50

  • Adult Lunch Meal: $5.00

Funds may be added to student accounts through SchoolPay or by bringing cash or a check to the cafeteria or nutrition office.

Students and adults are not allowed to charge per the district's charge policy.

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

Athens ISD serves free meals to children under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. Schools qualifying to operate the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) provide breakfast and lunch to all enrolled children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This approach reduces burdens for both families, school administrators, and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals. For additional information, please contact:
