Welcome to the Athens Hornets athletics page

Here you'll find schedule links, our stadium address and general information. Our athletics program offers students participation in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, powerlifting, soccer, softball, tennis, track and volleyball. Athens competes in the 4A classification, which is designated by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). We do have a bag policy for ALL public events. See below for details.

Football is in District 9 Division 1. All other sports are in District 14.

Bruce Field is located at 480 Royal Street in Athens. The athletic office is open Monday-Thurday. The phone number is 903-677-6992.

AISD bag policy for all events open to the public: Approved — 12” x 6” x 12” clear plastic bag or backpack or clear plastic fanny pack or 1-gallon plastic freezer bag or clutch no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”. In an effort to provide a safer environment for everyone, no other bags will be allowed. Exceptions: diaper bags with infants & toddlers, and a bag with medical necessities.

Política de bolsas del AISD para todos los eventos abiertos al público: Aprobado — 12” x 6” x 12” bolsa de plastico transparente o mochila o rinonera de plastico transparente o bolsa de plastico para congelar de 1 galón o bolsa de mano no mayor de 4.5” x 6.5”. En un esfuerzo por proporcionar un ambiente más seguro para todos, no se permitirán otras bolsas. Excepciones: bolsas de pañales con bebés y niños pequeños, y una bolsa con artículos médicos.
